The law firm of Twomey, Latham, Shea, Kelley, Dubin & Quartararo announced the recipients of its annual Community Service Scholarships. On Thursday night the 2024 Scholarship recipients were announced at East Hampton High School’s award ceremony. This year’s recipients are Dylan Cashin of Amagansett and Luke Castillo of East Hampton.
Ms. Cashin served as the Race Director for MayDay5K, which is an event to raise funds for local mental health awareness charities. Ms. Cashin also has volunteered for Project Most, i-tri and several other organizations. Ms. Cashin will attend the U.S. Naval Academy in the Fall.
Mr. Castillo has volunteered extensively with non-profits such as The Retreat. He obtained 128 hours of community service by performing the New York State Lifeguard Certification Cold Water Test. In the summer, Mr. Castillo volunteers teaching childrenages 9-15 about ocean safety. Mr. Castillo will be attending Salve Regina University.
The scholarship for each recipient includes a $1,000.00 check to help with college expenses.
