Estate Administration Paralegal

Twomey, Latham, Shea, Kelley, Dubin & Quartararo is seeking a full-time Estate Administration Paralegal to assist attorneys with all aspects of the administration of trusts and estates.

Twomey, Latham, Shea, Kelley, Dubin & Quartararo is located in Riverhead in eastern Long Island, and just a short drive to Wine Country and the Hamptons. We have over 30 attorneys and 36 staff and have been recognized by Martindale-Hubbell as a preeminent law firm. Our trusts and estates practice is well established and ranges from routine wills to sophisticated estate and tax planning. A significant portion of our practice is devoted to the preparation of wills, trusts, durable powers of attorney, and other estate-planning documents.

While we work hard, we are a friendly office. Many of our attorneys and staff are involved in their communities and are able to maintain a healthy work-life balance where they have time to devote to their other passions.

Job Description:

  • Preparation of probate documents
  • Preparation of estate tax returns
  • Preparation of formal and informal accountings to settle estate, marshaling of assets and distribution of estates and trusts

Qualifications:

  • Law firm estate administration experience
  • Strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through
  • Organized
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Working knowledge of One Source Fiduciary Accounting software is a plus

  • Maintaining cases and deadlines required by the Medicaid Agency
  • Communicating with clients and financial institutions
