Congratulations to Yash M. Patel, a senior from Riverhead High School, who received Twomey Latham’s 2019 Community Service Scholarship award.

Yash is a member of the National Honor Society, National Foreign Language Honor Society, and was a representative of Riverhead High School at the New York State School Board Association Convention, among many other extracurricular activities.  Yash’s volunteer work includes Helping Hands, Safe Halloween, multiple food drives, and Homeless Night – a night created to remind the community of those who do not have a home to keep them safe and warm.

After losing his biggest role model in 2013, Yash decided he would follow in his father’s footsteps majoring in business.  Yash will be attending Boston University this fall.
