The Express News Group, publishers of The Southampton Press, hosted a discussion on the Main Street project, and the upcoming sewer project in Westhampton Beach Village on Thursday, November 7th, 2019, at The Mill Roadhouse. The discussion was part of the continuing series of Press Sessions events hosted throughout Southampton and East Hampton towns. Twomey Latham is a presenting sponsor of the regularly held Press Session events that bring together a panel of experts and local players in a given field for a discussion on some of the most pressing topics in each of the East End towns, villages and hamlets.
The sewer project is anticipated to be completed following the currently underway reconstruction of the village’s Main Street — connecting the village’s business district to a sewage treatment plant at Francis S. Gabreski Airport on County Road 31. Discussion topics included how the local businesses will move forward during the construction, what concerns should be addressed, as well as the look of the final result of the project. Panelists included Village Mayor Maria Moore; Village Building Inspector Brad Hammond; Village Trustee Brian Tymann; Elyse Richman, owner of Shock, Shock Ice Cream and Baby Shock; Lynne Jones, owner of Lynne’s Cards & Gifts; and Chris Foglia of Daniel Gale Sotheby’s Real Estate. Associate Bryan Drago attended the event.
