Twomey Latham has partnered with The Press News Group / 27east as Presenting Sponsor of The Press Sessions, a new series of issue-based discussions, in Southampton, New York and East Hampton, New York.
The event on Thursday, October 24th at Rowdy Hall in East Hampton was focused on Open Land and Accessory Apartments: Striving to Address the Affordable Housing Crisis. East Hampton has answered the call for a push for more affordable housing to allow families, young people and senior citizens to be able to stay in the community as housing costs soar. But that push creates stress in other areas, including concerns about its impact on a community that has been focused for years on limiting development. Senior Partners John Shea and Chris Kelley, Partner Jeffrey W. Pagano, and Counsel Jennifer P. Nigro attended the event.
The regularly held Press Session events bring together a panel of experts and local players in a given field for a discussion of some the most pressing topics in each of the East End towns, villages and hamlets. Over lunch, panelists share their thoughts on the issue being discussed, positive and negative impacts it may have, and answer questions from the audience who purchase tickets to the discussion.
We’re at Rowdy Hall today for the latest Press Sessions conversation, “Open Land and Accessory Apartments: Striving to Address the Affordable Housing Crisis.” Read all about in the October 30 edition of The East Hampton Press and on 27east.com.
