On January 9, 2024, Senior Partner David M. Dubin represented a client that sold to the Peconic Land Trust 152 acres of farmland – 7 separate parcels – within the Oregon Road farm belt in Cutchogue. These properties were protected by Development Rights Easements that had been granted to the Town of Southold. The Peconic Land Trust simultaneously sold two of the parcels to qualified farm operators as part of its Farms for the Future Initiative and will be selling and leasing other parcels to local farmers in the months to come.
