Mr. Dubin began practicing law at Mudge, Rose, Guthrie, Alexander & Ferdon in New York City in the firm’s Litigation Department. His practice expanded when he joined this firm to include frequently representing clients on a broad range of real estate and business transactions. His practice also includes estate planning for individual clients. He has continued to litigate in state and federal courts, including numerous complex commercial cases of national importance.
For the past thirty-five years, Mr. Dubin has received the highest rating (AV Preeminent) from Martindale Hubbell Law Directory representing the highest possible ratings in both legal ability and ethical standards, as well as the recognition of the highest level of professional excellence by his peers. He was also recognized and included in Long Island’s Top AV Rated Lawyers. Mr. Dubin has been published and lectured in his areas of practice. Since 2022, he has represented landowners who have sold over 300 acres through the Community Preservation Programs on the South and North Forks, which will result in these parcels continued to be farmed or remain open space in perpetuity.
Mr. Dubin holds an A.B. degree from Colgate University and a J.D. degree from Tulane University School of Law (cum laude). While at law school, he served as a member and associate editor of the Tulane Law Review. He has also studied at The London School of Economics and the University of Grenoble. He is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts in New York, Louisiana, and the United States Supreme Court. In addition, Mr. Dubin has served as a long-time trustee and counsel to the Parrish Art Museum, and is currently on the Board of Directors of Southampton Youth Services, Inc.
