Partner Bernadette E. Tuthill is Vice President of the North Fork Breast Health Coalition (NFBHC) and Co-Chair of the organization’s 24th Anniversary 5K Walk for Breast Cancer Awareness to raise money to support the services provided by the NFBHC to residents of the North Fork diagnosed with Breast Cancer.
The North Fork Breast Health Coalition is working to encourage and assist in the prevention, early intervention, and cure of breast cancer through advocacy, awareness, networking, and research. The funds raised go directly to programs such as “Lend a Helping Hand”, which provides free grants, support services such as yoga, reflexology, and massage, as well as products including wigs and prosthetics to breast cancer patients and thriver/survivors who reside on the North Fork and are being treated for breast cancer.
This year’s walk will be in person at Tanger 1 in Riverhead on Sunday, September 25th. Registration begins at 7:30 am, with the walk kicking off at 9 am. In addition, Tanger has collected great raffle prizes from the stores. Raffles will be available for purchase the morning of the walk until 10am.
