Lorraine Paceleo

Lorraine Paceleo has been practicing law in New York since 1999, after graduating from St. John’s University School of Law.  Lorraine is also a Certified Public Accountant and concentrates her practice in estate administration, fiduciary accountings, tax preparation for estate and trust fiduciaries, and estate planning.  Lorraine has over 18 years of experience in the areas of Trust and Estates, advising executors and beneficiaries of their liabilities, rights and responsibilities.  Lorraine was previously associated with a NYC law firm that concentrated on Trust and Estate litigation, and has been practicing on the East End of Long Island since she moved in 2014.  Lorraine is a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and both a member and Financial Officer of the Trusts and Estates Law Section of the New York State Bar Association, where she has been serving as the Treasury support since 2010.  Lorraine has also served as a Court Evaluator, Article 81 Guardian, and Guardian ad-litem, representing the interests of minor children and incapacitated adults in various Supreme and Surrogate’s Court proceedings.  From 2005-2011, Lorraine lectured for the National Business Institute on various subjects including Solving Probate Issues and Challenges, Estate Administration Procedures, Trust Administration, Preventing and Litigating Fiduciary Liability, and Asset Protection in Estate Planning.  Lorraine co-authored an article published by the NYSBA, Trusts and Estate’s Section Newsletter, Spring 2014, and the Senior Lawyer, Fall 2015, entitled: Estate Planning and Tax Tips for Non-Traditional Families.  Lorraine is originally from Freeport, lived in Flushing for approximately 15 years and now lives in Flanders, where she is Vice-President of her local civic association.

Bernadette E. Tuthill

Ms. Tuthill’s practice focuses on the areas of estate administration, estate planning and taxation, corporate law and elder law.

Her estate administration and estate tax experience includes estates in excess of $30 million which have included closely held businesses, in- and out-of-state real estate holdings, life insurance, securities and retirement holdings, and trusts. Her estate planning experience included handling plans with multi-tiered entities, real estate holdings, securities and multiple trusts with gifting in excess of $20 million.

Ms. Tuthill graduated summa cum laude from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 2010, where she was Note & Comment Editor of the Touro Law Review. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Ithaca College in 1996.

Ms. Tuthill is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Suffolk County Bar Association.

Bryan Drago

Mr. Drago’s legal practice focuses on estate planning, taxation, charitable giving and tax exempt organizations, business succession planning, as well as elder law and long-term care planning. He has also handled multiple disclosures of unreported foreign investments with the Internal Revenue Service.

Mr. Drago joined the firm in March 2011. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Drago was a founding member of a publication based in Brooklyn, New York. He was also employed as a communications designer for National Grid from 1999 to 2011.

Melissa S. Doris

Ms. Doris focuses her practice in the areas of estate planning, trust and estate administration,taxation, elder law and residential real estate.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Doris practiced in Melville where she represented clients in the areas of estate planning, trust and estate administration, taxation, elder law, special needs planning/17A guardianships, residential real estate and lending.

Ms. Doris graduated cum laude from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, where she earned awards for academic excellence in Land Use, Zoning and Planning, the Elder Law Clinic, Family Law and Real Estate Transactions. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Stony Brook University.

Ms. Doris is admitted to practice law in New York State and is a member of the New York State Bar Association and Suffolk County Bar Association.

Daniel R. Bernard

Daniel Bernard is a tax attorney who focuses his practice in the areas of estate planning, trust and estate administration, taxation and estate litigation.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Bernard practiced in Port Jefferson Station where he represented clients in all areas of matrimonial law and estate planning. After completing law school Mr. Bernard served a one year clerkship with the Honorable Barbara C. Stolte in the New Jersey Middlesex County Family Court. While in law school Mr. Bernard worked as a student attorney in the Rutgers Federal Tax Clinic and interned in the Tax Court of New Jersey and the Morris County Surrogate Court.

Mr. Bernard holds a Master of Laws degree in Taxation from New York University School of Law. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Rutgers School of Law-Newark, where he was the Senior Managing Editor of the Rutgers Law Record. Prior to law school he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Temple University, where he double majored in finance and economics.

He has had two legal papers published, one on a topic of professional interest entitled Non-Custodial Parents’ Right to Their Children’s College Records, 40 Rutgers L. Rec. 48 (2012). His other publication was on a topic of personal interest, the NFL, entitled The NFL’s Stance on Gambling: A Calculated Contradiction, 4 UNLV Gaming L.J. 273 (2013).”

Mr. Bernard is admitted to the New York bar, the New Jersey bar and the United States Tax Court. He is a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association.
