Ms. Nigro has over 13 years of experience litigating cases in state and federal courts, and before arbitration panels. She litigates a wide range of matters, including commercial torts, intellectual property disputes, and business frauds.
Ms. Nigro has successfully represented clients, including inventors, musicians, and manufacturers, in various intellectual property disputes, including breach of license agreement, and copyright and trademark infringement. Ms. Nigro has also represented companies and individuals in consumer class actions and governmental investigations. She has also litigated hotly contested trust and estate matters, and real estate disputes.
Ms. Nigro is also an experienced matrimonial and family lawyer. She negotiates settlements and post-nuptial agreements in uncontested divorce proceedings, and litigates contested matrimonial matters, including pre and post judgment child support and custody matters.
Ms. Nigro is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey, and is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the New Jersey State Bar Association. Ms. Nigro grew up in Huntington. She received her undergraduate degree from SUNY Albany and her juris doctor, cum laude, from Albany Law School of Union University. While attending law school, Ms. Nigro worked for the New York State Office of the Attorney General in the Environmental Protection Bureau. Ms. Nigro also served as a Special Assistant District Attorney for the Manhattan District Attorney’s office, where she argued appeals before the New York State Appellate Division, First Department. Ms. Nigro worked in private practice in New York City for 12 years before relocating her practice to the East End.
Ms. Nigro resides in East Hampton. She is an avid runner.
