Biography
Mr. Fife focuses his practice primarily in the areas of litigation and appeals. He has been involved in the litigation of a variety of cases in New York state and federal courts on behalf of corporate, municipal, and individual clients involved in real estate, employment, insurance and contract disputes. Mr. Fife also has experience reviewing and drafting contracts and business agreements, analyzing insurance coverage matters, and counseling employers on a variety of workplace legal issues.
Before joining the firm, Mr. Fife was associated with the firm Nixon Peabody LLP. While at his prior firm, Mr. Fife was involved in the representation of the Town of Southampton and other parties in litigation relating to the Shinnecock Indian Nation's billion dollar land claim and its efforts to erect a casino on the east end of Long Island. He also handled many matters involving the regulated health care industry, including managed-care contract disputes, and medical staff issues.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Fife worked in the claims departments of two national insurance companies, where he handled liability insurance claims and coverage matters.
Mr. Fife is admitted to practice in New York and before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He is a member of the New York State and Suffolk County Bar Associations.

Education
Mr. Fife earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Fordham University in 1997. In 2003, he graduated summa cum laude from Hofstra University School of Law, and he was awarded the Maurice A. Deane Award, which is conferred upon the student with the highest grade point average in the graduating class. While in law school, Mr. Fife was also the Business Editor of the Hofstra Law Review.
