Biography
Mr. Nykamp has earned Martindale-Hubbell’s prestigious “AV” peer review rating, which recognizes attorneys for the highest level of skill, integrity, and professional excellence. Mr. Nykamp has a general practice with an emphasis on commercial litigation, employment and labor law, insurance law, environmental law, real estate transactions, as well as regulatory and land use matters. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Nykamp was associated with the firm of Rivkin, Radler & Kremer LLP, where he litigated environmental coverage actions involving toxic waste sites throughout the country. Mr. Nykamp also has experience in administrative proceedings, national class actions, multi-district litigation, and complex appeals.
Mr. Nykamp received a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Psychology from Calvin College in 1989 and received his Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law in 1995. While in law school, Mr. Nykamp was appointed counsel to Hofstra University where he managed the University’s general liability litigation department, negotiated University contracts and advised the University on financial matters.
A member of the Suffolk County and New York State Bar Associations, Mr. Nykamp is admitted to practice before the New York state courts, the United States Districts Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Education
Mr. Nykamp received a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Psychology from Calvin College in 1989 and received his Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law in 1995.
